O sétimo jogo a utilizar o script SCUMM, Fate of Atlantis permite que o jogador explore ambientes e interaja com objetos e personagens usando comandos construídos com verbos predeterminados. Ele oferece três caminhos únicos para escolher, influenciando o desenvolvimento da história, o gameplay e os puzzles.
