Esta versão é uma aventura em ação tridimensional, onde Harry deve completar diversos desafios para passar pelo seu primeiro ano nos estudos na Escola de Feitiçaria e Adivinhação de Hogwarts. O sucesso na conclusão das tarefas frequentemente resulta em pontos da casa para a Gryffindor de Harry, enquanto o fracasso pode resultar na dedução de pontos, deixando assim a corrida pela Taça da Casa aberta até ao fim.
